Know the setting
Compass’s San Diego sunset experience takes place in North County’s coastal landscape. Coastal canyons, neighborhoods, golf courses, and the Pacific horizon can be part of the scenery when conditions and visibility allow.
Think of this as a wind-led flight in a coastal region. It is not a scheduled flight over water, and a particular landmark or direct coastline route is not guaranteed.
Choose the right flight format
Shared sunset seats start at $300 per person. Published exclusive private sunset packages start at $1,500. Private flights may suit a proposal or anniversary; shared flights let you book seats alongside other guests.
Confirm the passenger count and current inclusions of the package before buying. Tell Compass about a surprise or special request early.
Build the evening around the outing
Sunset shifts through the year, so the meeting schedule shifts too. Follow the time and location in your reservation. Leave room for check-in, the transfer, inflation, boarding, the flight, landing, pack-up, and the return.
If you are planning dinner afterward, choose a reservation with enough margin. Ask Compass for the total time allowance for your date rather than assuming flight time equals the whole outing.
Let the conditions set expectations
A coastal sunset can include clear horizons, haze, cloud layers, or a different quality of light than a promotional photograph. Weather also determines whether a flight is possible.
Keep your plans flexible, read the current booking terms, and listen to the pilot and crew. The best preparation is to understand the real experience rather than expect a photograph to repeat exactly.
